THE GREATEST SUMMER EVER!

Weather never hotter than 80 degrees...enough rain to keep things green...no traffic...working within 20 minutes of home...kids learning to swim...sledding on Mt. Baker on the 4th of July...work keeping us busy but not driving us insane...This is why we live way up here in the Northwest Corner of the Universe (I don't think Alaska can be the Northwest Corner of the Universe if they have to PAY people to live there, do you?)

ah the hellwithya. It's 9 p.m., it's 85 outside and the humidity has dipped to 60%. The baby doesn't sleep through the night (at 7 months) and I am working for a complete batch of loons.

However, it has been a particularly good barbeque season, the local liquor store has started stocking Stella Artois, and the toddler is potty trained.

So it may not be idyllic, but it could be much much much worse. Houston, for example.

DAMN Straight, bro. At least in DC there's property value. In Houston, there's the green scum on the top of ANY body of water. REFRESHING!
